Catch Up

Hello fellow bloggers! And Hola blog readers! I'm sure that it has driven everyone as crazy as it has me to not see blogs for 3 months. Elenas been real busy and we've been having technical problems, or I have. Any way I thought I'd catch everyone up. First off if Sera hasn't told everyone she and my Mom are in the Bahamas with friends who are also a mother and daughter for Sera's Senior trip. They left last Friday and come back tomorrow. Which means Elena and I have been in charge all week. AHH the power and want to pull your hair out. Any way this Sunday we leave for a family 4 day cruise and we are bringing the daughter who is in the Bahamas with Mom and Sera. Well other than that it's Summer time, school let out like 3 weeks ago, so we are just hanging out by the pool and man all three kids have gotten dark. Well thats pretty much it more soon though       over and out                                                                                                                                                                            KAYLA

A weekend with the Fay Family

Kayla is cooking with Mr. Fay
Emma with a certain person who's name I can't say
This face is too cute for words
This is the adorable, Noah Fay
Sera and Melanie Fay with Bella

This title fits the post perfectly. I should give some backround info. The Fay's are a family at our karate school. They were the sort of people that you always see but never talk to. The whole family takes karate including the Mom, Melanie. She is a very sweet lady and is a mother of 3 boys but they have adopted another ( not really) I can't get into detail about that cuz I am not allowed by a couple people but this mysterious person has alot of power over me and well, I don't want to make him mad. Anyway, I can say that their oldest ( he is biological) is going to Iraq on either Tuesday or Wednesday and he is leaving behind his parents and his 10 and 6 year old brothers, to fight for our country. So now about our weekend, It started early Saturday morning. We had a taekwondo competition and Mr. Fay and the boys were competing and mysterious person was judging. We were done at 1:30 pm but wanted to stick around to watch Mr. Fay perform. Everyone did well and everyone took home at least two trophies. Asher got 4th in Forms and 2nd in Sparring ( fighting) Ian got 2nd in sparring and I am not sure about forms. I got 3rd in forms and 2nd in sparring and Mr. Fay got 1st in sparring and 3rd in forms. After the competition, we had the Fay's over for some lake fun. They were at our house till 11:30 pm!  Sunday, we were invited to a lake party for their oldest son, Brian. It was basicaly a chance to pray for him before he left. It was alot of fun and I got to wake board. I did stand up for awhile but I fell more than I stood. We were, of course, the last ones to leave at 9 pm so we did a lot of talkin. Everyone else left around 7:30. We saw the Fays on thrursday, Friday, Saturday ad Sunday and we will see them tomorow and Tuesday but they get a break from us on Wednesday only to see us on Thursday again. They are a wonderful family and they are strong christians. It feels good to know we aren't the only christians at karate. I have to go to bed but enjoy the pictures. FYI: Some of the pictures include the mp so if you have seen my other pictures than identifying him will be easy.
    Adios' for now,

Update!!!!

I have tons to update on. First of all, I am no longer sick. I had that awful bug for two days then some of the symptoms disapeared such as the headache, sore throat, and fever. I just got over that cough. I am not quite sure if its completely gone but I am just happy that I can stop coughing up crap. It gets annoying having to tell your karate teacher that you need to be excused to go cough. Anyway, Ian is sick again with a stomach bug. He had the runs yesterday and we thought it was something he ate but today, after breakfast, he started with a stomachache and at 12 the throwing up started. He was on the couch, upset because Asher, Ian, and I have a private karate lesson today to prepare for a tournament and he couldn't go. My very nice teacher said he will make up the time. I actually am home from karate and couldn't be more sore. I did 50 sidekicks on each leg. Those take a toll on your legs after awhile. I had four different instructors telling me what to do. My main instructor was Ms. Neff but my real instructor, Mr. Ravedutti, came over twice to correct me. The other two, Mr. Young and " Ms. Rubeno" ( She is 6 moths younger than I am but because she is a black belt or higher rank for that matter, I have to call her Ms) Mr. Young is an older teacher and he only teaches a few classes. Ms. Rubeno ( Nichole) just teased me. She would come over and make sure I flexed my foot. Dancers don't flex. Anyway, Ian is doing much better. He threw up once and then he felt much better. Dad is almost positive that he at something that didn't agree and his body couldn't get it out. I need to get to bed cause I have school and more karate. Another private but this time only with Mr. Ravedutti. I will be posting within the next week so until then. Over and out.

Sick as a dog!

This is the second week in a row that I have missed church because of illness. I am quite sick of being sick. About two weeks ago, I had a high fever of 102.9f. I thought nothing of it and went about my day normally. Then, last Sunday, I picked up a stomach flue and the day before we went to Disney. I was upset and praying that it would not ruin my trip. It was gone the next day and I didn't think about it. We went to our hotel at Disney and were ready to have a great week of fun and relaxation. We didn't. The first night, Emma had a fever and a really bad cold. That morning she decided to throw up. She was upset and insisted she still go to Disney with us so we took her to the park and put her on Amoxicillin. The next day, Asher caught it. He had a fever, headache and sore throat. We gave him some motrin which seemed to help. At the same time, Sera came down with the bug. That was Thursday. Now it is Sunday and everyone but dad, mom, and Esther, are sick. I feel terrible. I had a fever, headache, sorethroat, cough, runny nose, and I am extremely tired. I just want these stupid virus's to leave me alone.

Honduras pictures ( quite late)

This little girl is 7 years old
I caught this girl taking 3 pairs of shoes. I confronted
her about it and she said she was giving them to her family.
I couldn't bear to take them away from her.
She was so cute. I asked her to show me her shoes
and instead she took them off and hid them from me.

Workout

Anyone who is looking for a good workout program to do should consider this option. Krav Maga is a good self defense class and a great workout. It is a lot of work but it is worth it. Here is a website you can look at that supports the classes. Its a karate school but you don't need to be good at karate to do this. It is for ages 13 and up but I recomend you be a little older than that.
www.victoryma.com click on programs and go to Krav Maga. You will love it.

Back from Honduras

I am back and happy to be home. We had quite an interesting but very good trip. Of course, Miss " I have never gotten sick on a mission trip before," decided to get sick on this one. She got a touch of the stomach bug and a really bad case of goingtobenastytomylittlesisteritis. She was very mean to be after that which is very unlike her. Sera and I usually get along well and I have no idea what possessed her to act this way. Anyway, other than her, the trip went very well. I held 3 babies ( one was a year old, one was 4 months old, and I don't know how old the last one was but I am guessing 18 months), I worked at two medical clinics, and picked up quite an amount of spanish. Hopefully, next time I will know enough to be able to understand the sermon at church ( I know how asher felt when he first got home. The only difference was that I had a translator ( my dad) and he didn't) I will post more about it later cause right now I have to clean the quiet room so I will be on tomorow.
